Why is it important to talk about racial capitalism?
It's an important factor to talk about because we are often thinking about race in ways that profoundly impact our decisions, understandings and ways of thinking. Race has also been an important factor in the way that institutions are designed and the work that they do (Racial Capitalism). Racial capitalism harms nonwhite people: it confuses the nonwhite people their identity, creates pressure for nonwhite people. We as a society should discourage racial capitalism and if it occurs, there must be a respond to it by acknowledging and by identifying it. Calling attention to its harms and making sure that the transaction of racial value is structured in a way that discourages future racial capitalism.
Society does not benefit from racial capitalism, which gives enough reason to work to a solution.
